Julia Skala (*1997 in Wiesbaden, Germany) is an illustrator, director and designer for animation and 2d animator currently based in Stuttgart.
As of spring 2024, Julia graduated as an animation directress at Filmakademie Baden Württemberg's Animationsinsitut. Her rainy short film Sommerregen (2020, Co-Dir.: Oscar Jacobson) has been screened at film festivals including Max Ophüls Preis 2021, CINANIMA, Anim'est and more.
Dedicated to conveying strong moods and styles through the bold use of color and shapes, eager for great collaborations and always curious for new creative quests.

In spring 2020, as part of my curriculum at Animation Institute, we ought to come up with our wishes and dreams for the golden future.
That meant, for a far-ahead future, in which covid-19 would not be affecting and restricting our lives anymore.
